LOCKETS AND POMANDERS

Made in London Ferian mean “to carry” in Old English and these pieces carry the tradition of the locket as a keeper of private memory, its true significance revealed only when opened. Drawing on Georgian scent and symbolism and the Victorian love of secret sentiment, each is finely engineered in a minimal form, reimagined for the modern collector.

The collection brings together clean, architectural designs with a nod to British whimsy, in the form of symbolic animals: the Horse, Piglet, Hound, Pug and Hare. Each piece is lost-wax cast in gold or silver, then set, polished and assembled in London by a single master craftsperson, before being bicycled to Hatton Garden for official hallmarking.
