DESCRIPTION

Flame symbolises courage, faith and love.

Available in 9 or 18 carat gold. This substantial signet ring is mounted with a bespoke guilloche plate in enamels chosen for their colour symbolism. A technique dating from the 16th century and found in watchmaking, guilloche engraves geometric patterns into silver, which is then fired with glass to create a light-refracting lustre.

Signet rings have carried personal meaning from ancient Egypt through the Middle Ages and Renaissance to the present day. Once symbols of status and power, they have evolved to express affection, loyalty and identity.

Rooted in British silver and goldsmithing, reframed for the modern wearer.

LONDON CRAFT

Designed by Ferian and crafted by a British family-owned silversmith, 195 years old and holder of a Royal Warrant in recognition of its emblematic jewellery, national honours and ceremonial swords.

The enamelling process begins with glass granules, skilfully hand-applied to faceted sterling silver, then kiln-fired multiple times and hand-polished to reveal lustrous colour that shifts with the light. This hand-worked process ensures each piece is unique.

The 9 or 18 carat gold mount is made using the traditional lost-wax casting process, then hand-polished and set in London. It is hallmarked at the London Assay Office in Hatton Garden, continuing a tradition of independent testing and marking of precious metals that stretches back more than 700 years.

Each ring is made to order. Please allow 4-6 weeks from order to delivery.

Each piece is handcrafted to Ferian’s exacting standards and ready for dispatch from our studio within three working days. UK delivery is complimentary via Royal Mail Special Delivery, with international orders dispatched via DHL.

Individually handcrafted to order, each piece has an approximate lead time of 4–6 weeks. Once complete, your piece will be dispatched with complimentary UK delivery via Royal Mail Special Delivery. International orders are shipped via DHL.
