DESCRIPTION

Lapis lazuli symbolises strength, courage, wisdom and truth.

Available in 9 or 18 carat gold. A ring to express duality. Inlaid with a lozenge-shaped lapis lazuli gemstone, this double-faced ring pivots on signature Ferian pins and can commemorate (or conceal) special loves and friendships. Wear it to display the stone, or rotate it to the elegant plain gold face, which can be engraved.

Swivel rings can be traced to ancient Egypt and were later adopted in Europe. They served a dual function: the gemstone as amulet or talisman, and the reverse as a seal.

LONDON CRAFT

Each ring is individually made to order in London using the traditional lost-wax casting process in 9 carat gold. A single master craftsperson hand-polishes it to a mirror finish, sets the stone and assembles the swivel mechanism, finished with Ferian’s signature pins.

The finished ring is taken by bicycle to the London Assay Office in Hatton Garden for hallmarking, continuing a tradition of independently testing and marking precious metals that stretches back more than 700 years. From the first drawing to the final hallmark, every stage takes place within a five-mile radius in London, reflecting Ferian’s commitment to local craftsmanship and enduring British making traditions.

Each piece is handcrafted to Ferian’s exacting standards and ready for dispatch from our studio within three working days. UK delivery is complimentary via Royal Mail Special Delivery, with international orders dispatched via DHL.

Individually handcrafted to order, each piece has an approximate lead time of 4–6 weeks. Once complete, your piece will be dispatched with complimentary UK delivery via Royal Mail Special Delivery. International orders are shipped via DHL.
