Made in London in 9 carat gold, this graceful horse began as a hand-drawn sketch inspired by the paintings of 19th-century animal artist George Stubbs and studies of horses in the Victoria and Albert Museum’s sculpture gallery. Posed in piaffe, a measured trot in place, the horse shows strength, balance and disciplined movement. Its mane sweeps to one side, with finely detailed legs and elegant hooves.
Perfume and jewellery share the power to evoke memory. Inspired by Georgian pomanders, the perforated horse holds a scent-infused sponge or cotton wool within its inner cavity, allowing your fragrance to diffuse gently throughout the day. Its chain sits at the sternum, ready to wear with an open shirt or layer with shorter pendants.
London Craft
From sketches, the horse was sculpted in wax by a miniaturist sculptor trained at the Royal College of Art. Its finely detailed components are lost-wax cast in 9 carat gold, then hand-polished and assembled by a single master craftsperson in London before being bicycled to Hatton Garden for hallmarking, all within a five-mile radius.
