The Piglet symbolises affection, good humour, intelligence and companionship.
Made in London in 9 carat gold, this little piglet takes its cue from rural British folklore and art: Beatrix Potter’s Pigling Bland and Sir Edwin Landseer’s farmyard drawings. Modelled trotting along with a gently worried expression, it has tiny cloven hooves, floppy ears, an upturned snout and a curly tail.
Perfume and jewellery share the power to evoke memory. Inspired by Georgian pomanders, the perforated piglet holds a scent-infused sponge or cotton wool within its inner cavity, allowing your fragrance to diffuse gently throughout the day. Its chain sits just below the collarbone, ready to wear alone or layer.
London Craft
From sketches, the piglet was sculpted in wax by an award-winning miniaturist sculptor trained at the Royal College of Art. Its finely detailed components are lost-wax cast in 9 carat gold, then hand-polished and assembled by a single master craftsperson in London before being bicycled to Hatton Garden for hallmarking, all within a five-mile radius.
