DESCRIPTION

The Horse is a global symbol of freedom.

9 carat or 18 carat gold classic round signet ring set with a rare vintage grey Wedgwood ceramic intaglio depicting a horse, inlaid with gold leaf. Each piece is a miniature work of ceramic art and a collectible part of British ceramic history, set in a minimal gold mount. Antiquity reframed for the modern collector.

LONDON CRAFT

Each ring is made to order using the traditional lost-wax casting process, in 9 carat or 18 carat gold. The vintage Wedgwood intaglios were kiln fired, and their handmade character means no two are exactly alike. Finished entirely by hand, each ring is polished and set in London by a single master craftsperson, who adjusts the mount to fit the character of each intaglio. It is then bicycled to Hatton Garden for official hallmarking.

The intaglio was popularised in the 18th century by the Grand Tour of Europe and the wonder of Greek and Roman art. Wedgwood brought this aesthetic to a wider audience with the creation of Jasperware in the 1770s.

Each piece is handcrafted to Ferian’s exacting standards and ready for dispatch from our studio within three working days. UK delivery is complimentary via Royal Mail Special Delivery, with international orders dispatched via DHL.

Made to Order

Individually handcrafted to order, each piece has an approximate lead time of 4–6 weeks. Once complete, your piece will be dispatched with complimentary UK delivery via Royal Mail Special Delivery. International orders are shipped via DHL.
