DESCRIPTION

The anchor is a symbol of hope, safety and a secure place to return to.

A classic round signet ring in 9 or 18 carat gold, set with a vintage blue and white Wedgwood Jasperware cameo of an anchor. Each cameo is a miniature work of ceramic art and a collectible piece of British ceramic history, held in a minimal gold mount.

LONDON CRAFT

Made to order in London using the traditional lost-wax casting process in 9 or 18 carat gold. Our vintage Wedgwood cameos have been gathered one by one over many years and date from the 1950s to the 1980s. Each motif was sprigged by hand and kiln fired, and the hand-finishing gives every cameo its own character.

A single master craftsperson polishes and sets every ring by hand, adjusting the mount to suit each cameo. It is then bicycled to Hatton Garden for official hallmarking at the London Assay Office.

About Wedgwood cameos
The cameo was popularised in the 18th century by the Grand Tour of Europe and the wonder of Greek and Roman art. Wedgwood brought this aesthetic to a wider audience with the creation of Jasperware in the 1770s.

Each piece is handcrafted to Ferian’s exacting standards and ready for dispatch from our studio within three working days. UK delivery is complimentary via Royal Mail Special Delivery, with international orders dispatched via DHL.

Individually handcrafted to order, each piece has an approximate lead time of 4–6 weeks. Once complete, your piece will be dispatched with complimentary UK delivery via Royal Mail Special Delivery. International orders are shipped via DHL.
